about

This is a song that tries to highlight the hypocrisy in all our lives. Set in the context of any inner city urban environment the “pimps, the pushers and working girls” are a metaphor for the dark side of our lives. We all have these hidden vices and are often the first ones to point the finger at others and make judgements about their lives and lifestyles.

lyrics

I can see the strangest sights
Hanging around these streets
I got the pimps, the pushers, the working girls
Can’t get me no peace

You can’t tell me it’s okay
To live this way
You got the deepest, the darkest visions of hell
And they are walking this way
It’s a place you can’t escape

Nuke em shoot em execute em
Then scrape em up off the floor
Detest em arrest em
Eat em and digest em
Put their backs to the wall

You can’t tell me it’s okay
To live this way
You got the deepest, the darkest visions of hell
And they are walking this way
It’s a place you can’t escape

There’s only one thing I can do
The writing’s on the wall
I gotta stop pimping and pushing my working girls
I can’t take anymore

You can’t tell me it’s okay
To live this way
You got the deepest, the darkest visions of hell
And they are walking this way
It’s a place you can’t escape
